Customize the visual style and button aesthetics of your T9 keyboard. These settings let you control whether the keyboard feels modern and flat or has a tactile, retro 3D phone look.
Keyboard Surface Themes
Key Launcher supports two key surface designs:
1. Minimalism
- Aesthetics: A clean, modern, flat tile-based layout with no shadows or borders.
- Best For: Minimalistic setups, flat icon packs, and solid color backgrounds.
2. Skeuomorphism
- Aesthetics: Mimics physical buttons by adding realistic 3D bevels, depth, and drop shadows to each key tile.
- Best For: Users who want the retro feel of a physical feature-phone keypad.
- Corner radius: Selecting Skeuomorphism reveals a Corner radius slider (0 – 40 dp) that curves the display bezel around the keypad — from square-edged to a soft, pill-like retro handset.
info Curved Skeuomorphism used to be a separate third theme. It is now the same Skeuomorphism theme with the radius slider turned up, so you can dial in any curve between the two old presets. Existing setups are carried over automatically.
Minimal Keyboard Buttons
The Minimal Keyboard Buttons setting acts as an additional design modifier toggle:
- ON: Replaces standard button backgrounds with ultra-thin, minimalistic lines, reducing visual clutter to a minimum.
- OFF: Keeps standard button shading and background filling active.
info Combining different Surface Themes with the Minimal Keyboard Buttons switch allows you to fine-tune exactly how prominent your keyboard keys look on top of your home screen wallpaper.
