Managing App Drawer Categories
The App Drawer (swipe up from home) organizes all your apps into category tabs. Categories are auto-assigned by Android's system classification, and you can customize them in the drawer itself.
Built-in Categories
| Tab | Contents |
|---|---|
| All | Every installed app (excluding hidden ones) |
| New | Recently installed apps |
| Games | Games detected by the system |
| Work | Apps in your Android work / managed profile |
| Social | Chat apps, social networks, email clients |
| Media | Galleries, music players, video streaming apps |
| Productivity | Office, notes, and productivity apps |
| Tools | Calculators, file managers, maps, system utilities |
| Other | Apps the system did not classify |
| Private Space | Apps in your device's locked Private Space profile |
A tab is only shown when it contains at least one app — empty tabs are hidden automatically.
Sorting Apps
Tap the Sort control in the tab bar to change sort order. Options: Name, Last use, Install time, Usage frequency, Update time. A toggle switches between ascending and descending.
Managing Categories
Tap the Tune (tune) icon at the right side of the tab bar to open the Manage Categories sheet directly in the drawer.
From there you can:
- Reorder tabs — drag the handle next to a category to change its position in the tab bar.
- Hide a category — toggle it off. Apps in hidden categories stay accessible via T9 search and the All tab.
- Add a custom category — tap Add custom category, enter a name, and pick an icon.
- Assign apps to a category — tap Manage apps on a category row to manually move apps into or out of it.
